MTV about Jesus!

Mtv about Jesus-A day prior to the competition i recieved a call from a close friend and you know what he asked me to do? -be a judge in an mtv competition of the students in Lasalle..what the! I immediately asked him why me??? he answered “well, the MTV is about Jesus in our time today and you will be representing the lay people, other judges are priest and a nun” it was flattering but i feel ashamed- this guy thought i know a lot about Jesus, this guy thought i can artistically judge an mtv about Jesus-…..for few seconds i did not reply ( thinking what i knew about Jesus….thinking if i am worthy enough..) but with presence of mind i know i have to answer him a YES or a No. …

Aside from the fact that I’ve been an apostolate worker through Legion of Mary for almost 15 years and religiously practicing the catholic faith-my friend knows that im a bit creative and techy person and with these– i said Yes.

6:00 pm time of the competition where i was? in the middle of the traffic because of the heavy rains..(well what’s new about me? —– bad bad!!!) but of course knowing my self i know i have to be there and i know i wanted to experience this new thing! so….the taxi driver told me that we were in Arellano st  and he said that it’s already near to lasalle so i walked in the middle of the road with all the vehicles stranded by the heavy traffic..the flooded road sides kept me walking in the middle so there i came at the auditorium exactly the first MTV was being played- saved by  my long legs….so there i was…. we’ve chosen top 3 from the 10 entries.

I must commend all the entries, all were very good, all were artistically created but the one that captured my heart was the MTV about the family where Jesus lives which entitled “I finally See” (though it was only 3rd place for me -it was the real winner hehe other judges voted for other mtv of course)…all others were about the world war…being a drug addict…being lost without friends…for me basically reflection of Jesus must start within the family so that when we go out we can bring HIM anywhere which most of us forget about. We are all busy doing our own stuff, school works, helping friends and going out with them, doing our jobs well and others but we neglect to have started it doing within our family…. I admit i am one of them….i admit sometimes i tend to do more a lot outside home …but to have judged the competetion i was reminded ooooooops stop…FAMILY first before anything else…ooops stop go out with your parents first before going out with your friends….

I ended the  day fulfilling because I’ve learned lessons and had time to examine my life for awhile through those videos that we’ve watched….Technically I was one of the judge but the real sense was i have realized how God will judge me….YOU? how do you think God will judge you in your deeds today?!

Start with your family then go out to spread good deeds!

Thank you very much for the invitation Bro. Warlito Borja.—i want to get a copy of the video im referring to will share it to others…would that be possible?

harvesting season of abundance

harvesting season of abundance

Sample Paintings: Philippine Views

Sample PAINTINGS of my father learned not by formal education but by good friends and 20 years of experience.

My father is now 56 years old and he continues to paint because this has become his passion. Previously, he forced him self to learn this art to earn a living for his family (us) live a decent life. He had made thousands of paintings already. He used to sell this to wholesalers and to direct buyers also. He’ s been in this business for more than 20 years, and now he’s doing it not merely to earn a living ( because i do now provide them :-) )but merely because this has become his life…he already loved this activity. Thus we (his family) continue to support him in this kind of endeavor.

His PAINTINGS mostly are Philippine Views, (Mt. Mayon, Sunrise, Sunset,Old binondo, flowers, and other landscapes). He’s favorite is the “Harvest” an amorsolo style painting the shows farmer is harvesting riceplant. To a lot of Filipinos if you display this inside your house, this will mean abundance. That is why this is my father’s best seller.

I am about to create a new website for him showing all his PAINTINGS that is for sale. Watch out for it.
